I got married Oct. 21 and I'm just now posting our pro pics. Haha. I adore our pictures and I am just so very happy for them. Looking at them brings the memories of that day and the extreme joy that we all felt back in a big rush.

Alright girls, here's the deal:

Right after I got engaged last Christmas, I thought I knew exactly what I wanted in a dress: white, vintagey, and not a poofy dress that can stand all by itself lol.

So I bought one at a local store, but about 3 months or so before I was actually getting married, I changed my mind and bought another dress that was absolute perfection!

The reason I'm saying all this to you is because I am now selling my other dress. It's a size 2XL (which they say translate to a large or extra large in normal people sizes), white, and quite free flowing.

It features a silky type empire waist top with rhinestone buckles on the straps, and then loosely hanging charmeuse type fabric. It also comes with a matching shawl, and still has all the tags on it.

I was going to sell it on ebay, but I thought I'd give you girls a private screening, first :-)

Please feel free to ask me any questions!

Here are some pictures:Collapse )

Oh, and just in case anyone was interested, I thought I'd post a picture of the dress I ended up with :-)

What is the standard rating of receiving proofs from a photographer post-wedding?

I was married on Oct. 21, 2006. It's only taken me two months to post this wrap up and my few small pieces of advice. Haha. Whoops!

Rather than clog up the community with with pictures and text, I am going to link you to my wrap up posts in my wedding journal. Feel free to visit them and comment there or here if you'd like. :o)

My wedding was October 28, 2006. It was amazing, magical and beautiful.

Well it has been almost two months since the wedding (Oct 7th).  It was a blast. The rain took a break so we got to have it outside as planned (North Carolina). The reception was a lot fun and cake and food were tasty.  The weekend after our wedding we had a second reception (for his grandmother who can't travel anymore) in Illinois. It was a blast.  The best part was I got to wear my dress again with a different hair style.  We left for our honeymoon the Monday after the second reception. We went to French Polynesia. We stayed on the island of Tahiti for one night, then stayed on the island of Moorea five nights and the island of Bora Bora five nights.  Lots of scuba diving, sitting on beach, and spending time together.

We ordered our  wedding album just before Thanksgiving. I pick it up in less than two weeks. My husband and I had a hard time narrowing down the choices.

If you want here is a link to to professional photos of the wedding. They will be availble through the 10th of December.

I did not post as much I  had intended to post, but none the less it has been a good community.  Best wishes to all the October couples.

First of all I want to thank this community for being so supportive and offering such great advice and ideas. It really has been a pleasure to be here and cheering you guys on! Our wedding was on October 14, and we just got our pictures back from the photographer. Our photog's own wedding was two weeks after ours, so she was a little busy to get our pictures to us sooner!

Second of all, Here is a link to some of the professional pictures. Click on View Slideshow.

And third...my recap and advice.

My day really did go off without a hitch. I couldn't believe it! I can think of nothing that went wrong on the day of. The two days before, we had problems with two bridesmaids stranded in Chicago and one groomsman stranded in Hartford. But on the 14th, the only thing that was 'off' so to speak was my migraine, and I think that was due to lack of sleep and stress. (By the way...that Head On stuff...works)

Anyway...I think everything went well because I had planned it well, made many many many lists...and I counted on a lot of people that came through...

So my advice is:Collapse )

I got married in Michigan, and posted a Vendor Recommendation in mi_weddings, but there were a couple of national vendors/websites I used that I'd like to recommend.
And they're under hereCollapse )

And now that I'm no longer planning a wedding, I think it's time for me to pull up stakes in this community. If anyone wants to friend me, I'd like that! Thanks for everything!!

I can't believe it's been almost a month since my wedding (10/29)!

And don't worry, I'll promise I'll post about it sometime before the next millennium, :-P

I should be developing my one time use cameras soon (three are missing. Oh, well. =(), and I would like to create some photo books with all the pictures. I've looked a lot of sites, but most of them are too rigid in their lay-out / background options for my taste. I found two interesting sites that seem like they might work, but I'd like to be sure of the quality of these products before I commit my time to making (and subsequently buying) anything.

So, does anyone know about:

1. Picaboo

2. PhotoWorks

I'm particularly interested in the Picaboo one, because it doesn't mention the kind of paper they use.

Thanks in advance!

So I got married here in Orlando, Florida on October 31st, 2006. Yes, that's Halloween. No, it wasn't "goth." I don't know if anyone here's remember anything about me, so I'll refresh your memories: I had glass roses as flowers, glass pumpkins as centerpieces, a "Trick-Or-Treat" table, a 12 piece Big Band, and my colours were white and black with accents of red (like my dress!). It was supposed to be outdoors, but at the rehearsal we decided to move it indoors because of all the surrounding construction (I'm glad we did).

Some interesting things about the wedding day:

- I was as cool as a cucumber, but my bridesmaids were like chickens with their heads cut off. I could have killed them all! Panicing about THEIR hair and make-up haha (I had my makeup done by my husbands co-worker, and did my hair myself, aka: used a blowdrier).

- My Maid of Honor was a complete disgrace. We are no longer speaking.

- My husband and his Best Man cried more than ANYBODY (including me)! haha

- I kept my dress a secret from everyone except my parents. Needless to say they were all shocked to see me walk down the aisle in a big red dress.

- The cake was completely messed up (they decorated in a different way) and the ballroom only served the bottom layer! So each guest only had a tiny sliver of the rasberry and vanilla swirl, while we took the entire two top layers of red velvet and pumpkin home! *growl*

Anyways: here are some pictures! Enjoy!

Hello Ladies,
Well, I got married over a month ago now, on October 7. YAY! But,now of course my hubby and I have to get our Thank You cards out. So, I'm wondering, how long do we have to get these out to everyone? Should we be almost done them by now? Cause frankly, we've barely started them!

Thanks for the help.
